The city of Moab is assessing the damage from yesterday's flood. Numbers haven't been confirmed, but the city is reported to have received between one to two-inches of rain. The flash flood filled roads with debris and water, downed trees and damaged streets. Around four-thousand Rocky Mountain Power customers experienced an outage. This comes after Cedar City was hit by a major flood which damaged homes, roads and displaced around 200 Southern Utah University students. Much of Southern Utah is bracing for potential floods today as thunderstorms hit the area this afternoon.  The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Capitol Reef National Park, Grand Staircase Escalante, Green River, Bluff, Blanding, Monticello, and Moab starting at noon until midnight.  Monsoon storms could produce as much as an inch of rain in a short duration.
