Salt Lake City Selected As 5G Test City

The Federal Communications Commission will use Salt Lake City as one of two test cities for new 5G wireless technology. The FCC said yesterday that its Innovation Zone program would support the testing of new advanced technologies and prototype networks in several areas of the city. The University of Utah will also be taking part in some of the testing. The FCC chose New York City as its other test city.
