Recovery teams are preparing to bring down the bodies of two skiers who died in an avalanche in Utah. It happened in the Lone Peak Summit area of the Little Cottonwood Canyon on Thursday, outside of Salt Lake City. Families are notified but authorities have not released the names of the 32-year-old and 23 year-old victims. The Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office says the two skiers were located by five rescue teams. The bodies will be hoisted down from the mountain for transport to the medical examiner's office. Weather conditions yesterday were too unstable to complete the recovery operation. One skier survived who was able to dig himself out of the snow. He was airlifted from the mountain by helicopter and is listed in fair condition.
