This Weekend Could Do You In

If you are able to travel at the speed of Santa Clause as he makes the annual gift giving trip around the world, you might be able to get to all of the activities offered this Saturday in the Cedar City area. If you are limited to mortality, you will have to choose from a huge list of options.

Breakfast Time

The annual Fly-In Breakfast will be held at the Sphere One facility at the Cedar City Regional Airport. The event starts at 8am, and features a menu of eggs, sausage, pancakes and orange juice. Activities will also include airplane and helicopter rides at an additional cost.

Two farmers markets get started at 9am

Mid Day Madness

At 10am you may find yourself headed in all kinds of directions. The Parowan Fall Fest gets underway on the city's Main Street. Activity will go until 4 O'clock and include games, food, a car show and entertainment. The day will also include a 5K run. 10Am is also the start time for the Pumpkin Festival presented by the Cedar City Area Chamber of Commerce. This event will take place at the Diamond Z Arena at the Cross Hollow Event Center. The cost is $5 per child. Kids can participate in face painting, the pumpkin patch, trick or treating, cupcake decorating and more. This event also goes until 4pm.

Also 10am is the start time for the New Harmony Apple Festival and Fall Harvest. The activities will take place at the city park. The day will feature music, a raffle and New Harmony's famous apples. Proceeds from the day will go to support the Harmony Valley Volunteer Fire Department.

At 4pm you can catch the Wiener Dog Race at Oktoberfest held at the Iron Springs resort at 3196 N. Iron Springs Road.

Here Comes The Night

At 6pm the Southern Utah University Thunderbirds will host the Tarleton State Texans in a Western Athletic Conference football contest.

And if that's not enough, you can catch a performance of MacBeth presented by the SUU Department of Theatre, Dance and Arts.
