Traffic Stop Leads to Uneasy Night for Residents

Around midnight, Iron County Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene and crashed his vehicle on Gold Dust Trail in Enoch.

Law enforcement officers searched the area for the subject for several hours, but were unable to locate him.

Iron County initiated a reverse 911alert to notify residents, asking those with cameras on their properties to review footage between midnight and 1a.m., to be mindful of anything suspicious, and be careful when checking outbuildings.

Iron County deputy Dave Mitchell reports that around 7a.m., the suspect was located near Love's Truck Stop, and taken into custody.  No other suspects are at large.
