Utah Report Says Utah Has Rape Rate Higher Than National Average

The rate of reported rapes in Utah is higher than the national average. FBI data shows Utah's rate is over 55 per 100-thousand people. The national average is nearly 43 per 100-thousand. The Utah Women and Leadership Project says rape is the only violent crime where Utah has a higher rate than the national average.
