Multiple agencies responded to a call received by Beaver County dispatch just after 630pm Friday, of a 29-year-old man who entered the water at Minersville Reservoir, near the spillway.  Callers stated that the man entered the water "to cool off," but was unable to stay afloat "due to the high water current."

Beaver County search teams were able to locate the body of the man nearly 300 yards from where he was seen entering the water. Beaver County Sheriff's Office has not released the name of the individual, pending notification of family.

"We want to remind the public to use caution and floatation devices when entering water," warned Beaver County Sheriff Cody Black, in a press release.
