Utah residents are being urged to be aware of wildfire dangers following a series of fires along Utah highways over the weekend. The Utah Highway Patrol is reminding drivers to make sure that their vehicles well maintained to reduce the possibility that sparks could get in to grass and dry brush. The UHP also warns that cigarette butts thrown from car windows can easily ignite a wildfire. The Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands stated that our current warm and extremely dry conditions that any human caused fire could easily spread quickly over a large area.
