The NCAA announced Monday, locations, teams and individuals to compete in the National Collegiate Women's Gymnastics Championship Regionals, April 4-7.  SUU will travel to Berkeley, California to compete as a team in the Western Regionals.  Other teams set to compete in Berkeley are: the University of California (host), Arizona State, Auburn, University of Denver, San Jose State, Stanford, UCLA and Washington.

Additionally, several Thunderbird gymnasts were among those listed to compete in individual events:

All-Around Niya Randolph, Southern Utah

Vault – Kayla Pardue, Southern Utah

Uneven Bars – Isabella Neff, Southern Utah

Balance Beam – Ellie Cacciola, Southern Utah

Balance Beam – Kennedi McClain, Southern Utah

The top 36 teams based on the national qualifying score were selected for regional competition. The committee named the top 16 teams and seeded them in the bracket. Seeding determined at the time of selections will be maintained through the championship. Teams 17-36 were placed geographically at one of the four regional sites. Nine teams will compete at each of the four regional sites.

SUU is ranked #33 in the rankings.

Other regional competitions will take place in Arkansas, Florida and Michigan.
