Governor Spencer Cox says he is open to potentially strengthening gun laws in Utah following recent mass shootings.  During his monthly press conference, Governor Cox said he believes Utah could see a mass shooting like the recent one at a Texas elementary school.  He also hinted at possible solutions the Legislature could agree upon, including some version of Extreme Risk Protection Orders, commonly referred to as Red Flag orders.  However, Cox noted an age requirement for firearm purchases may be a harder sell moving forward.
