Inauguration Set For Mindy Benson As President Of Southern Utah University

Mindy Benson will be inaugurated as the 17^th president of Southern Utah University on Friday, September 23^rd. The inauguration ceremonies will coincide with Homecoming events for 2022. On Thursday September 22, the campus and community will participate in the Convocation in the Great Gilbert Hall at 11:30am. That afternoon SUU will sponsor and hold a community service event in the Sharwan Smith Student Center. The Inauguration Ceremony will be at 3:00pm in the America First Events Center on Friday. Inauguration celebrations will be held following the ceremony at various locations on the SUU campus. Friday's activities will culminate with the Forever Red celebration at 7:30 at the Upper Quad. Saturday, September 24^th, will feature the Homecoming Parade starting at 10:00am on University Boulevard. At noon SUU will host in state rival Utah Tech in a volleyball match also held at the America First Event Center. Saturday activities will be capped by the homecoming football game, also involving Utah Tech, at 6:00pm at Eccles Coliseum.
