Iron County School District alerted parents, Friday, indicating that the district had received "a hoax generic email," Friday morning, "threatening explosives inside of every school in [the] district."

The alert also noted that the same email was received by Weber, Cache, and Box Elder school districts, as well as district in Idaho.

Police have been notified and are "being extra vigilant."

Iron County School District stated, "We believe this threat is unsubstantiated and it is safe to hold school."  The district promised parents to continue to monitor the situation and keep parents updated with any new information.

The district went on to invite parents to report any suspicious activity and thanked parents for their patience.
