Iron Peak Fire Breaks Out in Iron County

The Iron Peak fire in the mountains east of Paragonah was discovered on Wednesday (8/21) just after noon.  The fire has burned around 400 acres and is zero percent contained, according to UtahFireInfo.gov.

The fire is located near Little Creek and the Cottonwood Mountain area north of Little Creek Canyon Road.

Air support can be seen responding to the fire out of Cedar City Regional Airport.

Fox 12-News in Salt Lake City reports that several structures are threatened by the wind-driven wild fire.
