The city of Ivins will spend just over two-million-dollars in addition to two-million federal dollars to improve Old Dixie Highway 91. The city already committed over one-point-seven-million-dollars in the fiscal 2021 budget, which councilmember Mike Scott called alarming, but added his fears were swayed by the federal spending. He says improvements will make the route into Arizona safer. The overall cost of the project is eight-point-nine-million-dollars.
