Lady Reds Claim Repeat of State Title

Cedar High's Lady Reds basketball team captured the 4A Girls State Title Saturday, for the second time in as many years.

The Reds defeated Region 9 foe Pine View, 61-44, Saturday, at the Dee Events Center in Ogden.

Mayci Torgerson led the way with 14 points; Japrix Weaver added 11; Samantha Johnston scored 10.

It is the second straight title for Cedar High's girls.  The Reds defeated Ridgeline, 53-40 the capture the title last year, in a game played at Southern Utah University.
