Man Who Killed West Valley Officer Sentenced For Inmate Assault
A man who admitted to killing a West Valley City Police officer in 2016 will spend time in prison for assaulting an inmate. Ryan Dykhuizen was 15 when he killed Officer Cody Brotherson, and was sentenced to spend time in a juvenile detention facility until he turned 21. Dykhuizen was supposed to be released this month, but then he assaulted an inmate back in February. According to the Iron County Attorney's Office he could spend up to 15 years in Utah State Prison.
