Cedar High School - Cedar High senior Logan Peel signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Southern Utah University, and complete as a member of the Thunderbird Cross-Country team.

Logan has a 4A State Championship under his belt as a junior, and strong finishes as a sophomore and senior.  Logan stated that SUU was the logical choice, given its location and strength of its program.  Logan is impressed with SUU's recruiting class, and feels the team will only become stronger.

Logan's mother, Dawn spoke of his dedication to the sport--expressing an interest in running at age 5, and his willingness to overcome setbacks and put in the time and work to develop into an elite runner.

Logan's father, Kevin spoke of spoke with equal admiration of Logan's efforts in his state championship run as a junior, and his disappointing finish as a senior, where, because of injury, he literally had to cross the finish line on his hands and knees.

"Win or lose, SUU is getting someone with extreme determination and tenacity," he said.
