The Left Fork Fire started in early May, and was declared contained over a month ago. High winds, along with Red Flag conditions reignited the blaze over the weekend, and the fire has now grown to an estimated 2,000 acres. 150 personnel have been assigned to the fire. Firefighting efforts are being directed by a Type Three Incident Management Team. Fire fighters may get a bit of relief today as high wind warnings have been lifted, and temperatures are predicted to be lower. The high winds over the weekend not only fanned the flames, but also grounded aircraft that could have been used in controlling the blaze. The airborne assets are expected to be available today. The fire was first reported in April.
