Utah's largest airport is exceeding its passenger capacity. A new report from the U.S. Department of Transportation shows Salt Lake City International Airport had 25 and a half-million people move through it in 2018, which was a five and a half-percent increase over the previous year. Marketing and Communications Director Nancy Volmer said the airport was only built for 10 million passengers. The facility will be expanded and upgraded to include a new central terminal and a parking garage.
