Suspect From Shooting In Rockville Dies
The man who led authorities on a dangerous pursuit last week through Washington County is dead. Fifty-five-year-old Shannon Alan Griffin brandished a gun at a man and his daughter on Wednesday in Hurricane before driving off. He then led police on a high-speed chase toward Zion National Park, firing gunshots at passing cars in the process. Griffin eventually fled into a neighborhood in Rockville and shot himself in the backyard of a home before police could stop him. He was taken to St. George Regional Hospital for treatment where he died.
