November 13-17 - A collaboration between Southern Utah University’s  Office of Learning Abroad and International Student Services is set to bring a week of global culture celebration to SUU’s campus. International Education Week (IEW) will feature a full schedule of global interest events which aim to both excite and educate students about a wide array of lifestyles and traditions from around the world.

The week will include daily activities beginning with an international film viewing scheduled for Monday, November 13th from 6-8pm in the Sharwan Smith Center Living Room where professor Jamie Spinney will introduce the documentary, The Last Tourist. Tuesday's events will include a talk by Fulbright Scholar Dr. Hasnul Djohar, followed by a panel discussion on global cultures, also taking place in the SSC living room, from 11am-1pm. Later that night students can embrace their inner pop star with K-pop karaoke from 6-8pm in the SSC living room.

On Wednesday, November 15, the event is a FIFA video game tournament game night with food, games, and fun from 5-7pm in the student center wing. Moving towards the end of the week, SUU will hold a cultural showcase on Thursday, November 16 from 8am-2pm and finish out the festive week with a Days for Girls project on Friday, November 17 from 10am-1pm in the International Affairs Office Global Landing.
