Just before 530am Thursday, the driver of a box truck lost control on southbound I-15, about 10 miles north of Parowan.  The vehicle rolled and came to a stop in the middle of the traffic lanes.

According to Utah Highway Patrol Sargent Cameron Roden, "due to the way the box truck rolled and blocked the southbound roadway, a second semi-tractor was unable to see the vehicle until the last moment."

Sgt. Roden said, "the driver of the semi-tractor attempted to miss the box truck, but was unable to.  The semi-tractor hit the cab of the box truck."

The driver of the box truck was killed on the scene.

Southbound Interstate 15 was closed as first responders dealt with the incident and gathered information to help with the investigation.
