WAC To Seed Postseason Basketball Tournaments With New System

(Englewood, CO)  --  Basketball teams at Southern Utah, Utah Tech and Utah Valley Universities will have to get used to a new method of seeding their annual postseason basketball tournaments.

The Western Athletic Conference says it will now seed its regular-season standings based on an advanced analytical formula created by Ken Pomeroy.

The seeding system will reportedly reward teams who play a more difficult schedule and win.  This format will be applied to men's and women's teams in the conference starting with the 2022-23 seasons.
