Cedar City Applies For State Grant Money

Cedar City is applying for more than 200-thousand dollars in state funds. The Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity administers the Rural Community Opportunity Grant, which until recently was only available to the state's 25 rural counties. Recent rule changes now allow Cedar City to apply. The city wants the money to pay for four projects, including one that would convert a private railroad crossing to a public crossing.
