The Cedar City Regional Airport has announced the launch of its 2022 Airport Master Plan. According to a press release, the master plan will guide the next twenty years of growth for the airport. Members of the community are invited and encouraged to attend the kick off meeting which will take place on Tuesday, October 11th. The meeting will be held in room 5 at Festival Hall.

The planning process will examine the airport’s role within the community, airport assets and facilities, aviation activity forecasts, and future development as well as options for ongoing public engagement on airport matters. Community members are encouraged to attend the kick-off meeting to learn more about the airport master planning process, share feedback with the planning team, and sign up to receive ongoing project updates. The data collection is expected to take two years to complete.

Airports are required to create a twenty year plan by requirement of the Federal Aviation Administration. The plan is made to ensure thoughtful and strategic planning of future facilities and airport infrastructure. The airport master plan will help guide the airport’s future with the goal of ensuring the airport continues to operate in a safe, efficient, and effective manner while also reflecting our community values.
