(Salt Lake City, UT) -- U.S. Representative John Curtis is the unofficial victor in the Republican race for U.S. Senate. He beat three other candidates in yesterday's primary election. The three-term Congressman is a former mayor of Provo and a former Democrat. He is running to replace U.S. Senator Mitt Romney who is retiring after 14 years in Washington, D.C.

Logan Cold Case Is Solved

(Salt Lake City, UT) -- The decades-old murder of a Logan teenager is solved. DNA evidence today confirms Owen Kimball was the man who strangled 17-year-old Tanya Weber in Logan. Four days after her body was discovered in 1965, Kimball was found dead in his car in Logan Canyon. His death was ruled a suicide. Logan City police reopened the investigation in 2022 when better DNA tests were available from the Utah State Crime Lab.

Man Faces Charges of Sexual Abuse Of Child

(St. George, UT) -- There's another victim of the Arizona man who is charged with sexually abusing children in Washington County over a decade ago. David Scott Curtis of Littlefield was charged in court today with two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and multiple counts of forcible sodomy. A 30-year-old man contacted St. George police in May to say he was abused by Curtis who was his Boy Scout leader back in 2001-2002.

Woman Dies After Hit By Falling Rock At Bridal Veil Falls

(Salt Lake City, UT) -- A elderly Saratoga Springs woman is dead after she was hit by a falling stone slab at Bridal Veil Falls. The Utah County Sheriff's Office says 70-year-old Diane Dewey was injured at the waterfall in early June while she was taking photos. She died of her injuries on June 15th.
