Dalton Wash Fire saw no growth during yesterday’s operational period, and it was mapped at 350 acres. Firefighters made good progress working with air resources to construct and secure fireline over the last 36 hours. Wildland fire crews will continue working on constructing and improving fire perimeter handline. This afternoon, firefighters will continue to work on securing the fire’s edge in order to prepare for the fire weather watch through this weekend. Fire officials remind the public that drones are strictly prohibited from flying near an active wildfire. This activity is both illegal and extremely dangerous. A temporary flight restriction remains in place.
