Iron County Schools Delay Start by 2 Hours

Iron County School District sent a message out to parents early this morning (Thursday, 1/11), stating that all school start times and transportation schedules in the district will operate on a two hour delayed start, because of overnight snow accumulation.

Cedar City received 5-6 inches of snow by 6am, with snow still coming down.

Morning preschool classes are cancelled. Parents are urged to consult individual school secondary bell schedules.  Early morning practices and other before school activities, as well field trips schedule for morning departures have been cancelled.

Cedar High School released the following bell schedule:

1st Period 9:40-10:43; 2nd Period 10:48-11:51; Lunch 11:51-12:34; 3rd Period 12:34-1:37; 4th Period 1:42-2:40.
