A majority of Utahns think fireworks restrictions need to be in place due to the ongoing drought, though they differ on how strong the regulations need to be.  A new Deseret News-Hinckley Institute of Politics poll shows that 25-percent of those asked feel that fireworks should be completely banned due to the dry conditions.  Thirty-eight-percent of the 800 people polled feel that fireworks should be allowed at official celebrations and done under the supervision of government agencies.  Thirty-percent of those polled feel Utah has enough fireworks restrictions in place.
