Last year, lifeguard staffing issues had an effect on the summer operations at the Cedar City Aquatic Center. This year the Aquatic Center is staffed and ready to welcome you for a cooling summer swim. While COVID-19 resulted in the ability for the center to keep a full staff of lifeguards, city leisure services personnel report that they are fully staffed and operating on a normal schedule for this summer. The Aquatic Center opens at 5am Monday through Friday and at 8am on Saturday. You can get full information about the services offered by the aquatic center here. While staffing in Cedar City is full, both the St. George and Washington City swimming centers are reporting shortages in lifeguard staffing.
