SUU Tabbed to Host Congressional Debate

What:  The Utah Debate Commission, in conjunction with the SUU Center for Politics and Public Service, will host the U.S. House of Representatives Congressional District 2 general election debate at 6:00pm on Friday, October 14, 2022. The debate will be broadcast live on all Utah television stations as well as streamed on media outlets and by SUU.

When:  Friday, October 14, 2022 at 6:00 - 7:00 pm

Where: The Great Hall in the Hunter Conference Center at SUU. The debate will be broadcast live on all Utah television stations as well as streamed on media outlets and by SUU.

Who:  U.S. House District 2 candidates as qualified by the Utah Debate Commission.

About:  The Utah Debate Commission is Utah’s premiere debate venue created in 2013 by media representatives, academic institutions, community leaders, and senior political figures in Utah. It is a consortium of state higher education institutions, media organizations, and business and civic leaders dedicated to creating an independent and nonpartisan system of public debates. The Commission is looked to as an example by other states as one of only four debate commissions of its kind in the United States.

This non-partisan center works to disseminate political information and spark debate about the ever-changing work of politics and issues that have an impact on the people of Utah and our nation.
