A young couple is dead after a collision on State Route 132 in Sanpete County on Monday. Police say Braden Christiansen and Caitlin Edmunds were in a vehicle slowing to make a left turn not far from their home. A driver of a Ford F-250 collided into the rear of the couple's Dodge Intrepid sending it into oncoming traffic where it was hit by another vehicle. Police say 27-year-old Edmunds died at the scene and 26-year-old Christiansen was taken to the hospital where he later died. The couple's three-year-old son who was not in the vehicle is now with his grandparents. The occupants of the other vehicles had minor injuries. Investigators are looking into distracted driving as a factor in the collision.
